Centro de Promoción de Tecnologías Sostenibles - CPTS (Bolivia)
En septiembre de 1995, con financiamiento de USAID, inicia actividades el Proyecto para la Prevención de la Contaminación Ambiental (Environmental Pollution Prevention Project – EP3). teniendo como ejecutora técnica y administrativa a la empresa Hagler Bailly Consulting Inc. (HBCI), con el objetivo de introducir la práctica de la prevención de la contaminación en el sector industrial. Para tal efecto, se suscribió un acuerdo entre la Cámara Nacional de Industrias (CNI) y la empresa HBCI. Debido a los buenos resultados obtenidos en Bolivia, el convenio original suscrito por dos años fue ampliado a tres.

The Global Dialogue was one of a number of Partnership Initiatives aimed at promoting the implementation of the Johannesburg World Summit Plan of Implementation. Co-sponsored by South Africa and Canada, it was specifically designed to fulfill the priorities for the mining, minerals and metals sector as identified in the Johannesburg World Summit Plan of Implementation. Paragraph 46 of the Plan identifies a number of priorities for the sector.

International Mineral Processing Mineral Council -IMPC
IMPC, the International Mineral Processing Congress has been in existence now for more than fifty five years. The very first congress was held in September 1952 as a symposium on Mineral Dressing in London, organized by the then Institution of Mining and Metallurgy (IMM), which coincided with its 60th years’ celebrations. The symposium was held in the Imperial School of Science and Technology, London. With 39 technical papers and 332 delegates, it was indeed an impressive beginning to what is known today as IMPC. IMPC has been a major driving force for the promotion of scientific and technical knowledge in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy worldwide. It is the most prestigious event in the field of mineral processing in the world today

Red por la Minería Responsable - RESPOMIN
Como Red Ibero Americana, RESPOMIN actualmente constituye una alianza regional entre científicos, representantes de ONG, de gobiernos y del sector privado de la minería artesanal y de pequeña escala (MAPE), única en su tipo. En coordinación con ARM (Asociación por la Minería Responsable), los miembros de RESPOMIN vienen participando de una serie de talleres locales, nacionales y globales de consulta pública sobre el llamado “Estándar Cero para Oro Artesanal de Comercio Justo”, el cual surge de los acuerdos de RESPOMIN sobre responsabilidad social y ambiental en la MAPE y que propone las normas que deberán cumplir las organizaciones MAPE que desean acceder a mercados de comercio justo. Más de una treintena de investigadores, oficiales gubernamentales y dirigentes MAPE integran RESPOMIN actualmente.
