Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe no es una excepci\u00f3n. Esta edici\u00f3n del Panorama Regional de la Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional 2021: Estad\u00edsticas y Tendencias, revela un escenario sombr\u00edo para el futuro. En 2020, 59,7 millones de personas en la regi\u00f3n padec\u00edan hambre, y entre 2019 y 2020 la prevalencia del hambre en Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe aument\u00f3 en 2 puntos porcentuales. Gran parte de esto se explica por el impacto de la pandemia del COVID-19, que redujo los ingresos de millones de personas en la regi\u00f3n.
